Gas tank nut broke

My nut broke. Has any 1 made a new one out of metal? Any 1 know what the tread is on the gas tank? Does any 1 sell one that's better. Very thin.

I would also like a replacement. It never threads correctly for me. I have a supply of replacement nuts as they seem to be single use for me. I end up buggering them up with pliers to get them on or off.

I just replaced mine also, would like to find one not made of plastic, but use a rubber strap wrench to remove and replace and you won't damage the plastic one

I have used a broken one for 6 years now and it makes no difference at all. The tank is held down by the two spars that come out the handle bar support.

I took mine off when working on my Viper a few years ago and never put it back on. You don't need it.

2022 Sidewinder does not have this plastic ring at all.
