had all coldwave stuff for a few years now have klim. Klim is much warmer and wind resistant. im a lot drier in klim gear after a hard day of riding.

That's what I did, the layering thing.newfie09xtx said:I bought the yamaha-klim Klimate gear last year from powersports1.com. Got it for 50% off and I am amazed at how warm Klim gear is. It was -23 with windchill and everyone else was froze, but I was perfect. The only complaint I have is that when it is -5 or warmer the klimate gear is almost too warm. Sometimes I wish I bought lighter klim gear and then layered up.

Arctiva coat and pants even thier layering system. I'm good to -50*F. Rode in -45*F wind chill stayed warm. I'm just amazed how far cold weather clothing has came. Thanks NASA

One thing with Klim, most people love it some hate it.... The first year I hated it, it seemed Drafty and I was cold. The second year I changed my layering and added a tek vest. Also the Jacket seemed to be "broken in". Now I need to open the vents after the first hour of riding.
I also bought a Yamaha FXR jacket for my son, it is a very nice piece and he has no complaints... I would wear it any day!

This year I'll be running my old AC jacket - got it cheap a long time agao, but it works great with no liner and a tekvest. I bought yamaha badged boots a few years ago that have been much better than regular snow boots I used to wear ( more support) I also just ordered Arctiva pants - found a clearance deal online for $135. Time to move on from Carharts!
