GEMS module causing fault codes

Just as the subject reads, my newly installed MPI / GEMS unit causes a code 15 84 to display. 15 = throttle position sensor and 84 = TORS. TORS will display anytime the throttle position sensor faults so I'm convinved 84 will clear upon clearing code 15.

When I take the GEMS out and reconnect the factory harness, no codes display. So, the GEMS is driving this.

Is this normal or is there a problem?

Is it just when you turn the key to the on position, but don't have the engine running? Once the sled is started the codes should disappear. The reason you are seeing those codes is because the GEMS is changing the values of the TPS signal, but again as soon as you start the engine the codes should disappear.

Yes Allen, it is only with the key in the on position, non running.

I have not yet started it because I still have to calibrate by wide band O2 for free air and I don't want to fill the exhaust with spent gases.
