Is anyone other than me wondering why Yamaha is still using the carborated gen 2 R1 motor in the 05 RX-1 instead of the much more powerful EFI gen 3 that has been used in the R1 sportbike for the last two years?
I'm going to take a stab at it and say cost is the reason.
EFI on the RX1's would probably put it into the $10000.00+ range.
I'm sure we will see it eventually.
