Genuine Yamaha Replacement Key

Has anyone been able to order a replacement key from Yamaha for their sled with the key number. I want the factory plastic head key for my Nytro (like the original key) but two dealers told me they can't order them and to just go to the local key cutter.

I just ordered a new key for my 06 Vector from the dealer. They took my key number , and I got a plain key from them. It was an all metal key, no plastic covering, no knife type key. That is what I was told to expect, and that's what I received.

i believe yamahas key cutter is broken and they are waiting on parts.

I've heard that they had to remove the fold away key because people where putting them up side down, and this could cause the starter to spin and burn i certain circumstances while the engine is running...
