Hey guys,

09 Nytro mp1 stage 1, mpi tunnel coolers..

You guys have any tricks to getting the air out of the system. Temp light keeps coming on. Have tried bleeding system a few times, bubbles keep coming out and you can hear the air but can't seem to get it all out before temp light comes on. Have tried putting sled on angle so front is up more and was worse, wasn't getting any air out. On flat ground got lots of air to come out, tunnel coolers got hot. Shut sled down and you can see hear the air in the system and temp light still keeps coming out while ridding. It's getting really annoying. Tank keeps overfilling and has shot out at me a few times

Thanks

The Nytro with the front radiator is naturally self bleeding. When I installed my SC, I pumped the hose going to the tunnel cooler quite a bit while letting it warm up a few times without the cap on the radiator. Worked perfectly for me. Good luck.

Get your hands on a coolant vacuum. Snap on makes them, as well as other tool suppliers. Just remove the rad cap, hook to an air compressor, and by blowing air past the rad cap opening, it creates a vacuum in the cooling system and draws in the coolant with no air in the system. When there is no more vacuum, that means the system is full. That's the easiest way to give a quick outline of how it works, sorry lol. Use one everyday at work, and just used it this past weekend on my Nytro.

Thanks,

I actually just borrowed one from a friend last night. Will test it out today.

Has anyone used a spill-free funnel to do this? I am going to do a coolant swap next week and trying to figure out the best way to do it. Also, where is best to drain from? Sorry for the slight hijack but figured this is related.

Never used one of those funnels but I do know with this vacuum, just install the suction tube into the rad and make sure you have something that will seal around the tube and rad cap opening (I used a cleaning rubber glove, the heavier ones that go up the fore arm) and suck the system into a vacuum, removing all the coolant. Then just remove, reinstall the tool for refill and your set.
