Anyone use this camera? If so what do you think? It looks like the best deal for your money. The only Concern I have is the sound, I can't imagine getting good sound out of it without a microphone you can plug in and mount somewhere else.

If you go to their website you will see a lot of videos that look and sound really great. I just ordered the vholdr helmet camera. I will let you know how it is.

I saw a vid that a Yamaha rep made and showed me when he was in our local store. I thought the quality was to be expected for a small camera, and I wouldn't hesitate buying one. It's not HD quality, but for the price, it seems like a great little piece to record some rides.
If you think about the microphone thing, you're going to just be picking up a ton of wind noise anyway, so shooting your video, and editing it to music would be a cool way to do it anyway.. JMO

Here is a link to some Go Pro footage with sound so you can tell the audio quality. Not bad for a $100.00 camera. (Got mine on E-bay NEW for that price) Be sure to get the Go Pro 3 or higher version! Some people are selling the original and not telling you it is not the 3mp camera. One way to tell is the original version only took one battery the newer ones take two.
BTW the quality of this video is much better when played from my hard drive. When you upload large files the host sites compress the crap out of it.

Nice find! thats an interesting web site. I have never even heard of the Tachyon xc camera! might be worth checking it out for that price.jlemieu1 said:Here an intresting link to a review of helmet cams.

IMO - For half the price and a remote the Tachyon is a better choice than the vHoldr and worth the extra $ over the GOPro. I'll be ordering one since my rig went down with the ship.

I'm torn between the Tachyon XC and the GOPro. XC is more advance but the GoPro is more rugged.
Hmmm.......

I have one and used it on motorcycles ,it was very good comes with a wide anle lense , have not used in winter yet but i think you would have to keep warm .. maybe a hot shot in pocket and take out only for use .
