Looking to do the loop around Gaspe` the week of Feb. 17 till the 24th. Any body been there yet, or planning to go there and will be back before I leave? FCMQ site seems to show good riding except west of Matane. Leaving from R du L. Can't find an up to date post on Zenwaiter. Have friends doing loop from Ste Agathe up and out to Senneterre up to Chibougamau down to Roberval and back thru Parent and down right now. I will post results Sun. or Mon.

We are going Feb 12 for 8 days so I won't likely be able to post back what I found. However, HCS has a great thread from a fellow who grooms the Albertville area that you should follow. It is in the QUEBEC section:

He has EXCELLENT Pics and gives great advice/reports on conditions. He gets info from guys at the clubhouse, etc so it it reliable and up to date.
Everything I have read/heard says to stay off RT5 and away from Matane, Rimouski so I would leave RDL and get down to TQ85 -> 548 ->579 to Sayabec. Keep low and there is snow there. Mt Joli is bare for miles (because of the wind) - all trails in that area are exposed w/no windbreak.
Of course, conditions could change by then but I have NEVER seen allot of snow around Mt Joli even in the best years!!

Thanks, yea, I know about the northern part. I've done my share of slammin into the drifts. I live in Southern New Jersey. I usually take the Northway up then peel off in Montreal, depending on where I'm going. Well, you have a safe trip and I'm going to check out that site.
