My friend just purchased a Phazer and went to a 136 Freeride track with extensions(1.5 lug I believe). Any way he did not change the gearing or do anything with the clutching and now the sled seem as if its missing something. If he does not have time to change the gearing (before our trip)can he just removed some weights to make it a better riding sled for now. If so does anyone have specs on that..not sure what weight to remove or if that would even make that much difference. I would think with the extra length of track and lugs and weight of moving mass that stock just won't cut it??
Thanks
Thanks

I did all that without touching gearing and clutching. No problems. The only difference is way more hook up (maybe he's missing track spin). If he doesn't know what's "missing" he should ride it for awhile until he figures it out. No need to be guessing.

What Model Phazer? If it's a FX RTX or standard it should do ok with the stock 18 tooth upper gear, if it's a GT with a 20 tooth it's definately going to feel slow compared to stock. If the RPM's are below ~11,000 @ WOT it's also going to feel doggy now. Quick and dirty is to tighten the secondary spring another hole or two if he needs more RPM. 11100-11500 is the sweet spot for clutching.

I'd switch the secondary from A1 to A2.
Ultimately I would talk to Ulmer about a clutch kit and if it's a GT switch to a 18tooth gear.

Have a 07 gt, and put an ulmer clutch kit in it and dropped to a 18 tooth gear, rpm and runs perfect. just seems to push more in the front end with the 136 track.

Never adjust the secondary to adjust rpm's.

shouldn't be missing. might be track jump on drivers. but still shouldn't be an issue.
i had a gt with a 20 tooth, and moved the secondary for shifts i forget what it's at. wasn't bad off the line.
mine is a 136 1 3/4" track. doesn't jump on drivers. (no anti ratchet)
now i have a 17 tooth, don't care much about top end. i like it better. feels more grunt. like i needed more...
