I've quite a few changes to my '07 Attak and these made a HUGE improvement.

- Monoshock re-valve and 6.5KG spring by Pioneer.
- Simmons Flexi-skis mounted in the most rearward hole.
- Hiperfax with wearpads in the closed windows.
- Yamaha mid height windshield.
- Clutch mod. by Woodys Performance to keep from backshifting as soon.

The sled now handles a rough trail as good as my '04 Renegade did. The best money I've spent was at Pioneer. I now love the ride!

Darting is GONE with Simmons.

Hiperfax and wearpads make it coast forever instead of sticking on the closed windows as you roll to a stop. Only 250 miles this year but no sign of any wear so far.

Windshield makes it warm enough and looks sharp.

Clutch mod. & Hiperfax seem to help mileage. Got 15.9 MPG @ trail speeds between 45 & way too fast on Saturday. Maybe it's the Fitch Fuel Catalyst.....

Also, pulling down the limiter strap a hole and adding the Simmons make it WAY better in deep snow. Broke trail for 40 miles in the morning and it was a blast compared to stock last year. Only got 10 MPG in that 40 miles but I was working it hard and loving it.

I did add Water Wetter and a temp gauge. Seems to run between 165 & 185 all the time.

1200 miles on it now and the engine seems loose & lots of power.

Just my experience. Hope some of it is helpful.

Hiperfax with wearpads in the closed windows...........

What are these things, can you point me to a link that shows a picture of them.

what do you mean when you say you put your simmons in the rearward hole?

watch the hyperfax, when they go, they disapear and from my expierence and a few others, he will not warrenty them. they either last forever or fall apart.

The saddles have two sets of holes. The rear ones reduce darting and steering effort the most. The forward location adds some steering effort, reduces darting a little less and bites harder in the corners.

I have mine in the aft location. Darting is gone and the steering actually feels as light as the stock skis. It pushes a little in the corners but an active rider won't have any problems with that at all.

Mounting them in the rear holes seems to have the same effect as shimming. Less pressure on the fromt of the ski & carbide.

These are Gen 1's by the way.

This is my 4th set of Simmons over the years and the first with 2 sets of holes. I called Val Simmons when I got them as there were no directions and he gave me the scoop.

mine just have one hole. i am installing shaper bars on both sides, will try them out tomorrow on a friends rtx.

I see on the Simmons web site they now have cooling fins to spray snow into the skid. Just ordered a pair for $17, hope it works. The Yammi hyfax need all the lube they can get.

I have those fins and used them in skinny conditions my first ride this year. I put them on when I saw 200 degrees on my temp ga. They lowered the temperature by 20 degrees!
