My brother is looking at getting a left over 2012 phazer gt. The dealer is asking $6900 out the door... What do you guys think?

Thanks

If he is looking for a GT I would say that's a good deal. I may be thinking so because of the prices I see in Canada though.

List price when new is $8599 here in the states. Ya, that's a great deal. ;)!

That's kind of what I was thinking. They also have a 2013 RTX for $8100 out the door... Is an rtx worth the extra $1200? Whats the difference between the two other then the float shocks?

If they have 2 phazers you could probably talk them down a bit on the rtx.

I think (but would have to look into it) gearing, rear shock (fully adjustable, re buildable not sure if the gt has the same rear shock). And I think the rest is looks, colours, windshield that kind of stuff. I think they both have the same rear springs, if not the rtx has stiffer ones.

Depends on his riding style I guess. I am really happy with my rtx after the rear shock was re valved. How does he like to ride?

I would say that is a pretty good deal on the GT. He should be able to get the RTX for much less than the $1,200 difference if that is what he wants. Is he looking at these sleds at a dealer here in SE MI?

G.B.

We ride a little of everything. Mostly aggressive trail riding but enjoy going off trail and ditch banging just as much. We did some more research about the two. According to Yamahas website, the RTX has almost an inch more travel in the front, the rear shock is a little bigger and has adj. comp. it also says it comes with a ripsaw track instead of the Hacksaw that comes on the GT? (not a big deal, its getting a 136" or 144" freeride anyway) Now hes leaning towards the RTX haha! Hes going to see if he can get them to come down a little more on the RTX... we'll see.

The sleds are at nelson's speed shop in Greenville. Its about a 2 hour drive for us.

Thanks for the help!
