Well I finally got my helmet cam I've been wanting for so long. I've been searching the Net for weeks trying to make my decision. I decided to go with a High Res lipstick cam and use my Sony DCR-TRV 520 camcorder. So I got a HD230CWX-4K - 520 Cam Kit from QVC Video. I got two lenses to see which one I like the best, 2.97mm which is suppose to be like the human eye, and the 3.6mm which is a little bit narrower view. Also, upgraded to the 9.6V Rechargeable battery pack w/charger, it charges in 2.5 hours and powers the cam and mic for 12 hours or more. Mic is 2ch so it records in stereo. Also this cam has 3x zoom and comes with a remote, you can tilt, pan, zoom, etc. with the remote and once you unplug the remote it remembers till the battery is removed. It comes with a C-clip mount that bolts to anything, (I bolted it to my helmet) and comes with a Velcro sleeve that holds the cam, and it came with a Pedestal mount and I installed that on my diamond plate on the front rack.
We are going mudding tomorrow, the river is way out of its banks, should be a good time. And will get as much video as I can and will post it as soon as I get it edited.
Check out the photos.

Well wait no more got it edited and posted on youtube.
First off, the place we normal ride is under at least 5 to 6 feet of water so where we were riding is the fields where we will be planting soon.
There was a section the legnth of about 100 yards of a dike that was just up an GONE!! no sign of even all the earth that was there. Dike is about 8 to 10 feet tall and a 100 yards section was missing.
But anyways, the video is ok. I thought I had the cam mount where it needed to be, and after getting home and watching the video I see now I need to bring the mount back so it raises the cam angle up. Where the video cam was pointing was lower then were I was looking. Also, I see that I need to slow my head down when I'm looking at things, and need to keep my head in that area longer. But for the first time I'm very pleased with the whole set-up. The helmet cams video quality is 100% awesome, and in a AVI file it looks sweet, to bad I can't show that quality on Youtube. I also need to try out my other lense, I think my other one will have a wide field of view which might be better, time will tell in testing.
So enjoy the video, and stay tuned for more in the future, and hope I'll get this setup tuned in better. Video is just shy of 7 minutes.

have to adjust where I put the mic, it was pretty windy out and all you hear is wind noise, so I choose not to have that, but I know what you mean I like to hear the background and music. Maybe next time!
