I am installing a head shim with one yamaha gasket on each side of shim om my Apex.
I was thinking about re-timing the intake cam to match the stock cam timing dots and leaving the exhaust cam a little bit in advance in comparison to stock. Doing this will increase the intake and exhaust lobes separation which I think is good for boost.
What to you think about this?

Thats what most turbo manufacturers recommend if you are puting in more than 2 gaskets. Good luck.

What I've seen before was guys advancing the exhaust cam instead of retarding the intake cam...
And yes, that will be a head shim sandwiched between 2 stock gaskets.

The MCX instructions deal with the intake cam and Dave at powderlites gave me some help and we only adjusted the intake cam.
