Got enough snow yet!

Was in Haliburton last weekend and conditions were good, and Collingwood before that and they had a good base. I think Muskoka and Huntsville are pretty good too from what I can see on the websites.

I live in the adirondacks. We have had two small storms this year. One 6-10 in early dec. One 3-4" in mid january, which was follwed by a three day 60 degree stretch in which we got 4" of rain in three days.

The local trails at the base of the adirondacks have never opened at all this year.

Old forge, specualtor, tughill, indian lake are ridable. But very very limited.

Speculator has basically 4-6" in town trails and amybe 6-12" in the higher spots. Very rough riding. Lakes are bare and dangerous so we cant even have fun there.

Worst winter ever since I was born here..

One local trail system said its the first year in 37 years of its exisistance they had no snow to open trails.

not to brag either, but i am lol...the main trail here has been open since early december, we need a bit more snow i think.... the trails r still good, but there isnt alot powder to play around in. we had 1 day of rain so far this year!!! alrite year for meltdowns, but we havent got alot of snow for a month now, supposed to get a few inches over the weekend, every bit counts

I feel your pain, NYS friends...

I live near Lake Ontario between Syracuse and Rochester. We have snow on the ground but it is thin, thin, thin. We had great riding after days of lake effect snow, for about two weeks. When it became warm, our base survived, even lasted through a 50 degree day and rain. However, there has been little snow since so riding is pretty bad. Also, the fields are basically bare as our other flat, open areas. I have not ridden since Martin Luther King weekend. Backed my trailer next to the garage and never unloaded my sled. We were supposed to get 5+" from the tip of this latest middle Atlantic storm, but only got about 1".

What a crappy season. Sucks. I have been stuck at 960 miles for three weeks.

I live in Montreal and can snowmobile about 25 mins away from home but its now bare and thin . We always have snow at the cottage (st-donat) but this year in Quebec its also been very thin.
I thought about not riding until we get some new snow but that looks like it be a long while.

hate to brag but up at my camp in colebrook,nh in the diamond pond area we have a ton of snow. we have been riding every endweek since trails opened dec 15. i have a little over 200 miles so far this year and like 3 to 4 feet of snow. we are lucky compared to most areas but im so very greatfull for that...... anyone looking for riding should check out northern nh colebrook, pittsburg area :jump:

Here in southern NB we have anywhere's from 10cm to 3 feet in the hills.... all hard.. hard.. base. have around 1700 miles on so far been riding since dec 15....

I wouldn't own a snowmobile if I were 200ft more south, always made me chuckle on these forums to see guys in PA etc. ironically they have the last laugh. just hard to believe they have trails and grooming etc
What the hell is this supposed to mean? If you live south of the Catskills you shouldn't own a snowmobile? I know people in Florida who trailer to Tug Hill! There are hundreds of riders from Pa, NJ, Del, Md who put thousands of miles on a year in Canada. I live in NJ and average 5000 miles a year, except this one. I have 3 feet of snow in my area and don't take the sled out of the trailer. I won't ride if I can't do at least 150 miles without crossing my own tracks. Can't see what makes you chuckle. North central Pa has many trail systems. I see you're from Mass. I never hear or read about anybody planning a snowmobile vacation to Mass. Guess what? I own a quad AND a 4x4 pickup. Should I not have them because I don't live in Moab? :moon:

We're sucking wind in Maine. I have NEVER seen Ft. Kent w/only a foot on the ground mid Feb. We're still scratching on the same snow that fell 6 weeks ago. Snow that didn't get washed away in the 3" of rain we had in Jan. Fog 'em boys, it's over in Maine.

all this talk is real sadening... even 10/12 years ago we got alot more snow... i was younger then so it felt like more but still, i am glad that we have enough snow to go sledin every year, but im wondering if in another ten years if i will b sleddin..? global warming i guess??????????? good thing i got into 4 wheeling quite a bit the last few years
