Just got back fromt the TY ride in Houghton...

I got to ride the Vector and the RX-1...

RX-1..

rear suspension rides AWSOME.. My buddy with the 05 F7 exact words were .. CADDILAC SMOOTH!! We never got to ride on really nasty studder bumps but i know i hit holes that my warrior would have bottomed out on sharply but the rx sucked them up without bottoming.. and im 195lbs..without gear.. Stearing still feels heavy... weight transfer is alot greater than on my warrior..
While the new 05 seat is softer than the 04 seat... my 04 seat with 2inches of foam was alot softer than the 05 seat..

RX VECTOR

Man this sled is really AWSOME.. an overacheaver... When the yamaha rep asked me how i liked the vector, i told him... THIS IS HOW THE FIRST YEAR RX-1 SHOULD HAVE RODE AND FELT.. He just smiled from ear to ear and looked at his rep buddy like they knew something that we didnt..
It feels soooo much lighter than the warrior i ride.. its just like a viper with an M-10 but with A way better front suspension.. The stearing is LIGHT and the sled is Flickable and nimble.... The clutch engages a little harder than id like but i guess that is to be expected... plus the engine breaking isnt as great as the RX-1 is.. The new front suspension must have made a huge difference in handling as the thing really handled awsome!! Rear suspension is very plush!

My buddy CHAD (ridesrx) rode both sleds also, the rx-1 he rode for 40 miles..the vector for 20 miles and he just LOVED THEM...

Yamaha really hit a home run with the new vector..its a great sled for a guy who wants a 120hp sled... It definitly doesnt have the explosive power of the RX but gets to 95mph very fast.. Infact i think the new Vector is a better sled than the RX only because of how light it feels..and how easy it steers!

Do make a NOTE: These arnt snowcross, mogal mashers and shouldnt be treated as them... If you want that kind of machine buy a REV or a new Firecat (they are more of a stand up machine)

It is interesting what you say about the vector. Both adam from skyview and my buddy John from SD last march talked me out of the RX and into the vector. Although they both share the same deltabox chassis, they said the vector felt completely different because of a change in the front A arm geometry and shorter spindles. John said get one, ride it for a year and if it is not fast enough put a turbo on it. He also said that the torque curve is so flat it feels electric and it is deceptively fast.
They did not put the different geometry on the RX supposedly because it has a higher center of gravity.

I'm nuts about my vector.. Smooth/handles fantastic, motor sounds waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cool.tracks straighter than anything I've ever been on.Gotta love the rip-saw track. MM, ;)!

I had a chance to ride an rs rage as well as my '04 warrior this past weekend. Both are awesome. The rage seems more agile however, I still like the grunt of the warrior. :4STroke:

We were hammering the 3 foot moguls with our 05's and they handled them pretty good. We were running on trails that hadn't been groomed yet, but had lots of sleds go over them. I'd ssay there was one section about 1 mile long with 3 footer after 3 footer. I was pretty impressed.

I hit the Hill yesterday with some friends. RX rode great and I'm probably the least sore of them all (04 F6, 05 F5, 04 XC500). Trails were fairly smooth in some places to 2-3 foot moguls in others. With a little adjustment I could slam through them and stay out front without getting banged up on them like with my 04. That's just with factory setup, when I tweak it it should be much better.

Very glad I bought the 05 RX
