We went riding yesterday and it was really dumping. We still don't have enough snow up high to really get off trail safely, but we tried anyway. Lead to some pretty good carnage. A bent ski and a cut side panel were the only damage. After the fourth good stuck my goggles were useless. I have to invest in a good pair. Maybe Santa? One shot is of No 4 ton in a creek hole he never saw coming. The other is No 9 on top of No 2. Ben tried running up a gully and flipped his sled. Brandon came up after him to help and rode his sled right up on top of Ben's. It sliced his side panel good. I can't imagine XP's taking the abuse our sleds get. Side note: we rode with a XP 154 yesterday and he was buried twice as much as ours. Straight up an down every time. Also burned his fourth belt in 300 miles. He's a good rider but a big guy, and I think it needs some clutching or gearing. I've seen XP's do alot better.

now i have got carbide marks on my tunnel. sweet ride!!!!

That reminds me of the "Bones heal and chicks dig scars" saying! :) Gotta love a sled w/ carbide marks on the tunnel, kinda like scars!

Speaking of Goggles, I've always used Scott goggles, but just bought a few pairs of the 509 goggles, and they seem a bit better than the Scotts. Seemed a tinch more fog resistant, and also seemed to unfog themselves somewhat as well.

Now, I did, um, "nudge" (i.e. a slight run into) someone in our group in Cooke last week with my sled, but that was really my fault. :drink: :)

Yesterday, after two more rides, we noticed that the Ton that went into the ravine suffered torqued a-arms on one side. He rode it hard all day, but is going to be looking for some bolts and arms. A new XP 163 we rode with popped off the same little tree we had hit numerous times and dsestroyed his skid rails at the rear. Twisted them to the side, so bad he had to limp home with his track ratcheting. The guy is a great rider, and after desroying a ski, a-arm and now rails, he is a little disenchanted. He says he had yet to even really ride the thing. The snow was massively deep, and we plowed into, bounced off and climbed over trees all day. As much as I want to shave pounds, I really would hate to impact durbility.

yah well that just wasn't a good day and got tired very quick but at least you can't say my sled is the pretty boy sled joel

The guys sold a s----load of the XPs up here also .
Same story here lots of problems and fall apart just by looking at them.
The boys also had a Turbo XP here ----it got towed home after a short ride, never had the change to even line up with it.
It did sound like it swallowed a read valve to me.

Gota love the one tone battle cruiser tough like tractor.
