didnt start too good for my uncles new z1,went for some break in on my vector and my uncle came along for is first ride on his z1,rode fine for the first 40 miles, but then when he came to a stop sign it just stalled, would fire up but not idle,we finally got it going and drove back home, when he stopped in front of the garage door it died and now it wont start at all,it turns over and the fuel pump works but no go,he his thinking maybe a fouled plug, when we tried to fire it up in the garage we had this burning eye sensation, like fuel badly burnt, kind of scratching our heads on this one

Fouled plugs. At any point did he not let it come up to temp before shutting it down? Like loading on a trailer or in the garage to just listen to it? This will foul the plugs on a Yamaha too. Change plugs and all will be fine. Be sure to use lots of burst of wide open throttle to seat the rings good for an excellent running machine down the line!
