I will be in the Grand Marais area in Feb. with a great group of guys. Anyone know of any cool off trail spots to hit around the area? We're also around Higgin's Lake and Gaylord quite a bit too.

Run the trail back towards Pine Stump and there are a lot of great spots to step off the trail and play. Ride out of a buddy's cabin there at the Stump and we play off the trail quite a bit between there. Couple of hidden little lakes and chain of lakes (ponds) surrounded by hills to play on. Great snow and rarely see another sled while playin. Will have to let ya know when we make our UP run to the Stump.
As for Higgins area, father in law worked for the DNR in that area and took a group of us out running some of the Fire lanes, that was a great time. If you make it up near Grayling stay to the North west side of the base and there are a few spots that open up and have a few little rolling hills to play and jump on. Great short road trip area to ride, (not to mention free lodging at the dreaded in laws.)

You bet anytime. Its getting closer. Not sure where in Michigan you are located but I know my wife spoke with her parents last night and they said they had an inch on the ground and it was stayin. We were not so lucky. Here in jackson we had a little bit in the morning when we got up but was sad to see it go.. Hopefully we have a better winter than last. Need to put alot more miles on my Nytro.......

Bushman would be the GM area expert, hoping to ride with his group at least once this season....... to bad my Attak is set up for trail rather than off trail.
PS - Bushman, you need to get your avitar pic up on this 4stroke side. Sweet picture man..
