Hi!

Last weekend we pick up the new Grizz 700FI SE.
First mods were AMS Swamp Fox Plus 28" tires wich came with the ATV installed to the SE wheels.
2nd. mod was suspension A-arm shields to front and back axle.

I'm still installing wires and electronic stuff. It takes much more time than previous 660 05' model because there is no space to fit the parts easy way... Any suggestions and tips are wellcome!

New Warn contactor is allready installed up left side of steering axle. We didnt follow Warn istructions - they were silly. I will never install contactor behind winch assy. It's too low place for that...

That's right. I like those tires too and what a grip! It's awesome!
And when we soon get full body armour finished we are goin to put the new Grizzly to the real test...

Installed today:
- Back-up lights with all electrical components (back).
- Winch remote control receiver unit and cables (to the little trunkbox under the seat).
- Even more cables for 12v power to back (inside box).
- Warn switch to handlebar (low displacement to left).

More things to be worry:
- New Warn winch does not fit properly to front end.
- Will i get full body armour finished before next weekend.
- I still have to make those electrical connections to the front.

I would be happy if you got any tips for installing accessories. I'm just on a half way to finish and there is nothing that i couldn't change for now, If i only knew how to do it better...

What style Warn winch are you trying to mount? - With Warn releasing the new RT25 and XT25 winches their is a new winch mounting plate to be used with them that allows better clearance. If you are using a Warn 2500ci winch you are fine using the original style winch mount. Maybe you have a new style winch with an old style mount or vice versa??

Winch is new Warn XT25 and assembly plate is... Well... What we got from our Yamaha dealer with winch. Here is a pic:

Ok! Now we have modified winch assembly plate and here are pics before and after the mod.
Now Winch can be istalled so far backward as possible. Plate and winch position on it changed total 45mm, wich means that rope roller fairlead is not the first one to make contact with rocks or other hard obstacles.
We build the Chassis armor to make the first contact...

Oh Yes! It is finally done and ready for race...
Just kidding! These are never finished or over equipped machines.

Anyway, today we finished frame armor and all electrical accessories. Bending the 10mm polyurethane was fun but it took all evening to get it right to it's best position. It is very slippery material for rocks and logs. We hope that it won't get stuck so easily than Aluminium armor on our past 660 Grizz...

That is a very nice quad. I am putting the medal front skid plate and steel front A arm guards on my 06. I like the plastic skid plates here at home but in the desert dry washes hitting bolders at speed is really rough on the plastic skids.

Er... I don't understand "rad" Sorry!

If you mean radiator I can tell you we have never had any problems with engine cooling under heavy conditions.

Hi!

The new front bumber cover plate is finally installed...

We have now test-season and races start at 1.jun.2007
