How often should one be looking at there clutches? I haven't been in any real deep water or mud but deep enough to almost get stuck in the mud. Can you see anything by taking off your clutch cover? Is there a gasket in there that should be replaced if i do take it off? Can mud and water get in there with out going over the head lights? Any mtce/tips ideas would be greatly appreciated....Irv

Anybody???

As long as your not in water over your tires you should be ok. If you do suck water in the primary clutch is loaded with grease and this would need to be cleaned and replaced with new grease if you took on water. They are really pretty maintenence free. Belts last along time. To be sure you havent taken on any water, there is a drain plug at the bottom of the plastic clutch cover, just pull the plug to check for water occasionally...BBY
