why not just clip it, either fully or two on and one off?
Am I missing something?
Why are the SLP pads better than clips?

I didn't say they were better than clips, just way easier to install and cheaper. Drill a hole in the track, stick the pad in and screw on the nut. Less expensive, easier and just as effective IMHO.jarmentrout said:why not just clip it, either fully or two on and one off?

So the SLP pads screw onto the inside of the track???? Does anyone have a picture of these pads installed Thanks...... I found a picture and more information on them Thanks........

I remember when I installed them, I hoisted up the rear of the sled and turned the track by hand as I installed the pads. Once I had enough installed to reach the area on front at the bend of the hyfax (that's where the most drag happens) I couldn't believe how much less effort was required to turn the track.
I am going to try those SLP track pads. My sled also feels just like yours, feels like a bad belt also. But have done a couple belts and makes only a slight difference. And other bonus is there will be less rolling resistance. Which I have always thought was a issue with 05 RS Venture's. Do you have to open the track windows, as I think it would be a good idea.

I've had these installed for 3 years now on my 05 Venture. I have never noticed this chugging people are experiencing but I put them on within weeks of buying the sled to reduce the Hyfax wear.
They look just like a stud without the pointy tip and they are shorter then the track lug height, but they install the same way only you place them in the hyfax area.
