Grooving Hyfax

I went thru a set in 440 miles. Next set I am going to lay in a ban saw and put 3 1/8" grooves the full length. Anyone ever tried it?

Also going to add second set of scrathers to the rails. Presently have the slackers mid-rail. That is where all of the wear is-to the metal- but I am going to add MPI's up front.

And if that doesn't help-bolt thru the back of ski's.

thats an interesting idea, i might try it too. Back in australia we get marginal snow and ice so it might be a better idea.

Have a look at my set-up for SCRATCHERS I made them myself and work very well, their mounted just at the right place and get a lot of snow spray in the suspension...

I have seen guys drill a bunch of dimples in them with the theory that they catch more snow/water for lube and run cooler. not sure how effective it really is though.
