GT for Agressive rider?

I have the GT. I had a huge winshield on!

I got 3 holes to work perfectly but the 4th hole didnt want to flex enough to get the screw in so I found a screw long enough and put a washer on it and it held all last season.
 

yea thats exactly the problem i had when trying to fit it up that annoys the hell outta me $70 for the rite mount
 
Just look for a screw with the same thread or roughly the same thread(thats what I did) and it will work. 3000km last year and no probs! Make sure the screw is atleast twice as long, also it doesnt look stupid if that crossed your mind yet. If anyone ask just tell them you lost the screw.
 
I race B class MX all summer so I'm pretty agressive with my GT. If i could do it over again there is no question, I would have gotten the FX, but they didn't have any and it was the 07 clearance, so I got the sled for a hair over 5 grand new. I am hoping to get a different shock in the back and maybe some stiffer springs in the front..thing it just way too soft riding, After i had the front shocks shimmed with thicker oil and adjusted it helped alot. Made my own anti bottoming kit for the rear. Still not impressed, however its night and day better than the pathetic stock setup. You can bottom them out jumping on them. Sure they have 16 inches of travel in the rear, but thats meaningless when it goes through the stroke and bottoms constantly.
