Gutted exhaust 2011 and up

Has anyone gutted the muffler on a 2011 and newer apex? Does it affect the exhaust valves and how does it sound?

I did it on my nytro and it didn't effect the exhaust valves at all. It made it sound ever so slightly louder but you don't really notice it much. I gutted mine to save some weight but ended up buying and after market exhaust anyways.

I gutted mine. Not a whole lot of sound difference. Performance wise hard to say if there was little to any gain
