The ecm will not care what you do with the exhaust as there are no sensors in the exhaust system. The ecm only cares about the incoming airflow to the engine.
This will make it louder but may or may not hurt performance. The other manufacturers of them expensive exhaust systems have tuned them to have the needed back pressure on the system while increasing top end performance.

To loud with the tubes cut out, I would drill holes in the tubes.
I first gutted the muffler (way loud, can't hear yourself think), reinstalled the baffles and drilled a 1/2" hole through both, now a little louder than stock, sane.
F them try to get me if u can lol

My muffler r gutted no baffles at all its not that loude
Buddy gutted his this way and ya it was loud, had a real snap to it. He got rid of it and went back to stock, he said it drove him crazy. My excell was quieter to ride then his gutted Muffler. I think drilling holes in the pipes is a better idea. But hey you say you want to do it then you say you have already done it and its not loud. You ask, people answer, you argue! So I'm at a loss!
