Didn't make a surprise rolling triple mogul patch coming over a blind knoll yesterday afternoon.
Hit the 1st, pretty much was coming off the sled forward after slamming the face of the second one, bounced over it and then front end dropped over the 3rd & we both did a endo...
I went about 20' to the left side of the trail, sled landed in the middle upside down I think- when I could get up and over to it buddy had it on its left side.
Visible damage is the steering column, twisted right spindle, windshield/ brackets, headlight plastic, maybe cracked gauge pod (still works- good thing bracket was flipped), broken rear bumper. Who knows what else once its taken apart....
Let it set for some time as I walked off the shock & shook out cobwebs, firm believer in wearing a Tek vest!!!
Bent the bars up more to get to the key + steering clearance- was going to ride it to nearest place that was about 12 miles away and wait it out while buddies went back for my trailer but place was closed at 3:30pm on a busy Friday??? and it hadn't blown up/ overheated by then so said screw it keep going.
Drove it almost 40 miles back to Redfield from almost Copenhagen/ Lowville area off Tug Hill. Trails were shot and bumps sucked at 30-40mph with my lower section in pain but made it just as it turned 7,500 miles even.
After a long assed 1hr drive back home Wife took me to ER for a 3hr visit. Xrays & such were negative, only a bruised hip/ pelvis on the left side, tweeked lower back, jammed right thumb & bit my tounge some.
Took it to Excell's today so they can go over it for insurance estimate.
NADA book was $3300, see what they say.... I was looking to go to a Nytro next season anyway.

Ouch!! Glad to hear you're ok. Sucks what happened though. You'll have to change the name on the side of your sled now to "Sled Cartwheel" lol.. A little humour doesn't hurt as much as you right now, I bet.....

My buddy, Irish Redneck who really wiped out his Phazer last season in a similar mogul situation started in with the humor last night.... I'm "tumbleweed 2" now.
Sh*t happens, it's all good.

Yikes! Glad you essentially OK. Sled can be repaired or replaced. Were you leading the group?

Thanks guys.
At work today after riding the recliner on hydrocodone all weekend- actually feels good to be standing & walking around alot more, still stiff & sore though.
Boss said it's God's way of telling me I should've been at work Friday......
The windshield WAS just a Yamaha aftermarket with the different mounting brackets.

Excell's got it torn apart & called me last night- $2700 in just parts... NADA book around $3300.
I've been making a list & figuring up some of the stuff I'd put into it (basically most in my sig line) and up to $1732.40 in the add ons dept.
* Based on what I can get replacement parts for/ worth from places on the 'net or mfg websites.
One of the insurance co Reps who I got transfered to in another state I think (gotta love State Farm) deals with their car claims but seems to think I do have coverage for add on stuff so we'll see.
Up to them to decide my fate on which Nytro I get.....
Viper time! Forget the Nytro.

I've ridden Irish Redneck's & it's real nice but can't afford it (Wife just got another job after being laid off/ other bills take priority) + hard to justify with pretty much all the rideable snow is junk or gone in NY right now and what seems like another crap Winter of having to trailer to Tug Hill to ride with 5,000 people on the stuff that wrecked me...
Not worth it just looking at in the garage while paying good $$$ to own & not riding.
The right Nytro will come along, if not this season then next.
Maybe take the rest of the Winter off and get more ink instead

<---- was thinking this as a memory of the blue thumper LOL
Grandmother passed away 10 years ago on the 19th, adding to her tribute piece this weekend + once some is done you never really stop.

Glad to hear you had no major injuries defiantly got lucky. Hopefully everything works out your way and you either get it fixed to the way it was or you get the Nytro your dreaming of!
