Thanks for all the great input and pics. Steve 05 I really like the look your sled has, thats where Im tryin to get to. Are the handlebar hooks yamaha? Hey, Bob that looks good. In my case Im not just looking for more padding in the seat (though it desperatly needs it) Im trying to get a more leg friendly riding position.

This is what i put on mine, universal pivot adapter ,about 3in rise, if you want more you can add a block. It moves up and forward if you want no mods to the cables

Yes the hooks are factory yamaha for a 06 sled they are slightly smaller in diameter I guess.I just sanded the end off the grip with a green roloc pad to take the lip off.

Heres a pic of the way I did my bar riser.

thanks yamahammer! thats exactly what i was looking for. I wanted to see what part you made exactly.

Glad i could help. I did it that way because it was much cheaper. You also may find that you have to remove the one bracket that holds the throttle cable above the valve cover. But giver a try.

woodchk454 heres a pic so you can see what i did to the grips, also i did something different yesterday with the riser.Alot of time into this one.Height is adjustable as well but its high enough with it all the way down.Plus to go any higher would require longer throttle cable.I made the bars as well they are 1.5" wider per side 32" overall width plus hooks.
