Installed MTN riser last spring and may have pulled cable or broken wire to left hand warmer. Also purchased a heat shield for helmet and that didn't work on the last trip either. Cable looks good going ito grip so I need to check wire and fuse down. right side hand grip works fine? all should be on the same ckt? Where can I find an electrical diagram for my sled? 2010 ApexLTX GT
Terry :rocks:

Thanks but this isnt working for me? I have downloaded and installed program, have an account but? any susgestions?

Need new hot grip... cable broken away and unable to solder to repair. Should be easy as I have the old one off and grip cleaned yp for a new one.

Any tricks to putting new grip warmer on my LTX? Never changed one out before. Glue comes with new element? put on the bar install rubber over top, start sled and turn on to melt and adhire element and rubber grip?
Thanks Terry :o|

Bump for install tricks?

I'm not sure about yours but mine was an adhesive backed element. I removed and cleaned the bar, trial fit the element before removing the plastic backing and then stuck it on. I used high heat silicone as an adhesive/ lubricant to slide the new grip on then had one or two rivets to install. Glue was not included.

Thanks ultra, I have the old one off, cleaned the bar and ordered the new one. so sounds like I am on track. I didn't remove the old rivits as everthing came off fine. however going on might be differant. New element should come with glue to stick to bar so I will need some type of adesive for the rubber grip. part will be here next week . I always like to ask before I try my own stuff sometimes not really the best way..... Thanks again

repairs completed thanks to all for the info! :jump: :jump: :-o :-o
