I have a Medium windshield on my 2017 SW LTX LE. I also have an adjustable riser. I want to put on either Sentinels or Procross lighted hand guards. Can I use either of these with a medium windshield and still turn the bars fully without hitting? I want them for when I have the riser fully extended. And I like the additional lighting. Thanks.

Off topic, who's adjustable riser? Do cables need to be lengthened?

PowerMadd. Cables were fine stock.

I know the cat guards hit the medium sport windshield with stock risers.

I put the Cat guards on the wife’s 18 RTX 50th. Same as Rocker Dans but without the lights(she doesn’t drive it at night)! Anyways, they haven’t hit the medium height windshield. She loves them.

There are different so called med shields. If you are talking about this med shield then the guards will not come close to touching.

I have a so-called mid height yami windshield on my 18 RTX. I put on the Cat lighted guards and everything cleared just fine. Like with about 2 inches to spare. My windshield kind of goes straight up after it clears the gauge pod. If that makes sense. I think if it was close a person could just rotate the bars back a little bit on the riser or else adjust the base of the riser back a little. It wouldn't take much. I agree though - there are many different mid-height windshields.

The arc that the winder bars turn on, its near impossible for any guards to hit the windows. As the taller windows tend to rise more and not come back as much.
My LE window and SE window are alot different, but the SE window goes more upright and is far from guards....I know this cause with my stock LE low window, my window bag was tight sandwiched between my window and speedo and I could barely squeeze in anything but maps or paperwork, and the ignition key was tight to get hand on.
Now with the SE window, I have a few INCHES between my speedo and window, and can spread open my window bag nicely and get at it so much better....and best part is I can get at my ignition key nice and easily now from top or standing on right side of sled. Loving how much more functional the SE window is. Likely will leave this one on full time now.

Thanks for the replies. I'll order the Sentinels and give them a try. This is a good comparison picture. My sled is on the left with the medium windshield. On the right, is a 2018 SW LTX DX. You can see how his windshield is more vertical. However, I still was able to install a Garmin Montana above my gauge pod.

Yes I have sentinels, lighted, but go buy a switch so u can turn them on and off (5$ at a local hardware store) cause u still get a bit a glare off the windshield at night. It's nice to have the option to turn them offI have a Medium windshield on my 2017 SW LTX LE. I also have an adjustable riser. I want to put on either Sentinels or Procross lighted hand guards. I just finished putting a/c Procross guards on. With s.e. shield, it's closer than I thought it would be. Forgot to take pics. Looks real nice.
Hope it works with med shield on......

Dealer had Sentinels in stock. He mounted today. And they don't hit the windshield. Thanks for everyone's input.

Did they forget the crash pad cover?
Those Sentinels look small...not alot of coverage.
