i have a short sportech chrome windshield and on full lock turns they are a few millimetrs away from touching it-the mounts that are used on the guards are quite adjustable in alot of ways

will the cover fit ???

Hottshot, I have the sportech speedguards and BJ Hookers full 90 degree hooks on my bars that are on a 2" sportech ABR (articulating bar riser) with a 3/4" MPI solid riser under the ABR. My bars are 2" wider (1" each side) without the hooks and 1" lower so this is close to the equivelent in height of my stock bars with the 2" risers shown in the pic below. My cover still fits and I still have the stock cables (throttle and brake) with no operating problems even with the extra width.

Blue chrome sportechs, I love them. Wouldn't go back, save on both boondocking through the sticks and the cold.

For those of you concerned with whether or not a cover will fit here is a picture. Notice that my sportech guards stick up further than the windshield from a side view (visible buldge in the cover).

I took them off after one use, because I couldn't see my mirror at all. What are you guys doing about that. Maybe you're all 6'5".

Well, most mtn riders don't use mirrors. But on my sled I doubt seeing the mirrors would be the problem. When sitting on my sled the bars are about shoulder height and tilted forward 3 inches. This makes the instument cluster completetly useless. my bars are this high stricktly for leverage and comfort while riding in the standing position.
