The left hand warmer on my 11 Apex $hit the bed today. Ohm meter shows a open circuit. Anyone know the proper way to get it off and install a new one. Looks like the grip and heating element are separate.
Thanks

should be 2 rivits holding the grip on. drill these out. then heat the grip up really hot with a heat gun. put on a glove and twist it off. depends how stuck it is, as for the element, you gotta peal it off and scrape the glue off with a razor blade.

As said, remove rivets, work a philips screwdriver in through the little hole and roll it around between the bar ad grip. Then use air through the the hole. Hang on to the grip as it will come off with a pop/bang. Works slick.

Thanks for the reply's. Its good to have options. So I take it the new heater will have the glue on it?

Won't the dealer fix that under warranty?

not sure if they would cover a warmer, if you smacked it, or rolled it on the end bars they probly wont. and the new grip warmer will have a self adhesive side. just pull the white vinyl off, line up the rivit holes and put it on. if you dont line up rivit holes your screwed cuz they stick instantly
