Part #SMA-HOT-GPHK00. As everyone knows now Yamaha has redesigned the handwarmers for 2010.
Has anyone bought this kit and what are you paying? Will Yamaha offer this upgrade for a discounted price?

Thanks

I called on it today 99 bucks plus install......sounds like a lot on $$$ for something that was supposed to work when you bought the sled

I was told that I was the only 1 having issues right from YAM!!! now they come out with some revised hand warmers that will NOT produce a whole lot more heat when the problem is the ECU & STATOR not pumping enough POWER to heat'em up!!! don't waste your money or time on them...go YAMAHEATER ;)! and you'll never look back!

I've installed 3 kits (2x '08 & 1x '06) so far and what a difference they make, you've got to feel them to beleive it! just to see the guys face smilling up to their ears of JOY! just feelin' the HEEEEEEEEEEEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its as good as S@*

heater kit

Just installed the updated handgrip heater kit on my 09 nytro .Started it for the first time today and within a minute at idle the grips were better than they were all last season on high setting. Seems to work for me.

You can't leave YAMAHEATERS on longer than 3 to 5 minutes max cuz they BURN your hands...

Did you happen to measure the resistance through the heaters in the new kit, if not, can you?

I'm curious to know if Yamaha changed the output of power from the ECU for the 2010 models.

Thats funny.I was told the same thing yesterday. There is nothing Yamaha will do for me except take $50.00 off their new kit. I will spend the extra $$$$ and get the kit from Rockmeister. I WILL NOT give Yamaha anymore money for something they should be fixing

rockmister yamaheater kit works , listen all you non belivers !!!!!!

Or find your self a set of old 06 Apex bars and warmers and plug them in.A lot of dealers still have them since there were part of a change up. 10 minute switch with hand burning heat. A couple of us have had em for two years, no issues.

Yes we all know yamaheater works by now.. this thread isnt about yamaheater though. not everyone wants to spend that much and maybe im alone, but i dont need to fuse the fibers from my gloves to my hands to be content with the heat output. In other words, they dont have to be as good as yamaheater to be happy with how hot they are. It really shouldn't take much more heat to be content..
You can do a search on RSI heaters as this is what they are i believe, a lot of people seem to be happy with the RSI's!
