hey guys new member here, i just bought an rx-1 mountain and i put on a differant set of bars and a taller riser. now i need to get a longer throttle cable and clean up a bunch of the handle bar wires. i know mpi makes a longer throttle cable but don't really want to wait for one to come that far. is there a longer one that yammy makes or one off of another sled? also what can a guy do to clean up all the wires for the bars, i am not putting the big foam pad back on with the billet alum risers i have on it.
they are a bit tootall for me so have ordered a set 2 inches shorter but the same style. currently it is 33.5 inches off running boards.

I covered my bars after I had put the riser on my sled with some left over mesh hood material. I cut it out the shape + about an extra inch all the way around. Then I had the wife fold and sew the edges back for a clean edge. I used little black zip ties to sew the dges over once on the bars. It doesn't look to bad. You could use velcro also on the edges. This started out as an experiment but ended up looking pretty good. I've been following some of your builds, keep us posted. Gotta love Thistledoo's RX1.
Because these things have no storage, I got an SOS handlebar bag and mounted it. Killed 2 birds with one stone.

I put on a Powermadd left hand throttle and with the centre cable junction, it makes the throttle cable way long enough as is. I got mine in Edmonton at Specialty Sled. The guy there does his best to make me think he doesn't want my business, but that's where I got it.

i put the 05 cable on and it is long enough. i will take a pic of my bars and post it. they are a bit too tall for my likings right now so i have a 2" shorter set of risers on the way. right now they are 35.5" from the boards to center of grip end. i spent 3 hours cutting and slodering extentions on the bar wires but now all the conections are down below the cowel and the bars are as clean as they are getting till i start to get rid of grip warmers, lights(head and tail) and thumb warmer. also want to get rid of park brake cable too!
