I installed Fly Aerotaper bars and relocated all the wire connection so they are just in front of the fuel tank. Here are some pictures. In the picture with the Super Charger you can see two of the red wire looms and one white connection. For the splice connectors I used a waterproof heat shrink type butt connector for 16 gauge wire.

BlgsRX-1mtn, I have been thinking of doing the same thing with the handle bars as you did, what did you use for the throttle cable and brake hose?

My cable is from MPI. They get them from thrusted vector though (send him a PM). My brake line is a stainless steel brake line from SLP. Here's the link for the brake line (part number 27-92) www.startinglineproducts.com/catalog.cf ... ductID=536

I have a similar setup, and relocated all the plugs under the tank cowling on the drivers right (vicinity of the ignition key).
It was much more involved than I originally thought taking the better part of two evenings. With an 8" riser, 1 1/2" pivot blocks (both powermadd products), and the stock bars off an xr650r (about 2") it came out to about 5" above stock bar height. Was able to use the the stock brake, choke etc. and an '05 RX1M throttle cable which is about $16 from a good dealer. The moto bars are steel so no problems with the hand warmers. They are about .8# heavier than the equivalent Renthal aluminum product but 1/4 the price.
So far so good. Mildly concerned about wire wear under the cowling but its pretty well taped.
Hope this helps, Mark

I made a four inch riser and added twelve inches to each wire so I could hide everything underneath the shroud. I also used the rubber cover that comes on an 06 vector mtn se to clean up the bottom of the steering post, Ken.
