Handwarmer install question: heater element

I had a spill and wrecked my left grip and handwarmer, I got my new parts but have a slight problem, The heater element does not come with any type of sticky backing or adhesive and I am unsure what to use for an adhesive. I have a spray type trim adhesive but am unsure it will work? I wonder if anyone has installed one of these? and what you used for an adhesive? any help would be appreciated.
