My 06 vector warmers worked great. Then i removed the bars rebent them so they wouldn't hit me in tight turns and welded a cross bar to reinforce them. I did this with them OFF the sled and every thing except the grips removed. Now no hand or thumb warmers at all. Has anyone measured the voltage across the warmers at say 5-6 grand.
Thanks
Thanks

You did not mention the error code. Are you getting one? I assume you are saying the grip warmers are no longer working.
Have you double checked the connectors? Sometime the simplest thing is the best place to start.
If you welded the handlebars off the sled, then you should not have impacted the power source. (i.e. no need to check voltage from sled.) But there is a fuse involved. Have you checked it?
If the handgrips were still on the handlebars when you welded the handlebars, you could have fried them, depending on the weld method and if and where you placed the welder's ground connection. But the chances are slim.
You can test your grip warmers by using an ohm meter and looking for ~ 6-15 ohms across the grip warmer's connection. If you get infinite ohms, you fried them.

No error code and the bars on the gage cluster move up and down with the control switch. I measured 6.5ohms per grip and when i put 12v to the grips using a battery they warm up. Ive checked the connections several times there tight and can only be connected one way. Not sure on the fuse do you know were it is located. Also does the thumb warmer run off the same fuse. cause its dead too.
Thanks.
Thanks.

O.K. check all the fuses in the fuse block. Follow the handgrip's wire back to the fuse block. Pull the fuse. Start sled and look for > 12 VDC on one side of the fuse holder.
I am mobile right now. Don't have access to schematics for wire colors, etc. But, for later tonight, what sled are we dealing with?
