Just wondering what it takes to ride into Canada from Minnesota. Is there crossings for snowmobiles. Looking for a quick photo and head back into Minnesota ?

I would contact the border security services just to be sure and let them know you want to cross over! This way you don't get in any hot water crossing without authorisation from either sides!

A few years back we rode from Ore? Minnesota straight up into Canada and then came back down farther west. All I know is that there was a phone booth in the middle of nowhere...you had to call in.

I was up on lake of the woods last weekend and there were a lot of guys running the snowmobile trail up into Canada to fish and then coming back at night. Like Nos-Pro said, I think there is a phone out on an island and all you do is call and tell them you are crossing there and they give you a number or something encase you get checked.
