I have found a finger track brand new 151x15x2.25 in 2.52 pitch for just $329.95. Is it possible to run this tall of a lug on my Attak if I take out the tunnel and front heat exchanger protectors? Or is it too close to the front heat exchanger? I have also found a used 151x15x2 in 2.52 pitch for $180.00 but it's not fully opened and clipped. I just think the new track is the better deal. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

I ran the 2.25" finger track on my Mtn. Max and had to put 8 tooth drivers on it to make the clearance. Worked out kinda nice though, I didn't have to re-gear for it. With a 151" I would deffinately get the exroverts.

I am going to run a apex mtn track with apex 7T 3" pitch drivers and am planning on notching the track to clear the heat exchanger protectors but the lugs will fit because the 7T drivers are about a .5" smaller diameter.

To awnser your question you will need smaller diameter drivers I think. A 2" clears with 9T but you may need to go to 8T for the 2.25"

FYI 7T 3" pitch drivers are almost the same diameter as 8T 2.52" pitch.

Thanks guys for the info. Kinger I wouldn't mind going to a 3" pitch but this track in my opinion is just too good a deal. I have been searching for a 151" for quite some time and most of the used tracks are more expensive than this brand new one. The finger track seems a better option also as I will still hit the trails from time to time and do ride in the spring snow also. You know when it's still deep but wet and heavy. I'm going to remove the protectors as from what I've read it helps stop most of the snow buildup in the tunnel also.

I just did a 153"x2.25" setup on my Apex. I don't know what your setup is or how easily you can go to 153", but here's what I did for a surprisingly low cost:

If you want to find a good deal on a track, check around here and on Snowest for a takeoff Maverick from a Nytro MTX. Guys turbo their sleds, extend them, or just switch tracks and there's a lot of them floating around. I picked one up for $100 plus shipping - it had less than 500mi on it and was in perfect condition. This is a 153"x2.25"x15" Camoplast Maverick (3.00" pitch). The maverick is supposed to be a cross between a paddle and a finger, not sure how well it works, but I think it will work great for me.

I also picked up a set of Nytro MTX drivers cheap (7 tooth 3.00" pitch) which are extroverted. With this setup and the protectors removed, everything clears.

I have pics of everything here:

Wow nice job on your buildup. I have already purchased the 151x15x2.25 finger track and am waiting to find out from gade-thrasher how to order my rail extensions. I have been looking for a track for quite some time and had found many on snowest but they were all more than you paid for the same track you got so you got a good deal. I plan on getting Wahl drivers with a 7 tooth in the 2.52 pitch so I should have plenty of clearance also and it will help gear it down some. Make sure to post up pics of your when done as I said before nice job.
