I just did mine... easy out easy in. just used the palm of my hand and easy even pressure. even pressure... or the sides will bend. I guess I got lucky?

Do you have to remove gas tank to replace these gaskets?

yup... need to loosen the allens or hex heads cant remember to loosen the clamps. then loosen muffler and give it a yank out.

the two 12mm hex head bolts under the grommets in the picture (#28/#20) are under the gas tank. The tank is really easy to remove tho. There are two 12mm nuts at the rear, two phillips screws in the side panels, two fuel lines, and two elec connectors and she slides right out.

Thanks, I wanted to put my gutted muffler in but couldn't remember if I had to take tank out.
