The Hauck husher comes with an intermediate pipe that is bent perfect to fit a car muffler with offset inlet and center outlet. I found several car mufflers that would fit. If I remember correctly the muffler had to be < 13" long. I tried the welded Thrush and a turbo muffler. I thought the turbo muffler gave a great deep tone, but it was louder than the Hauck.
There was a hesitation on low end, but I did not think it was anymore than what I had with the Hauck exhaust.

if u want a different tone with the stock muffler, get an excell header, and/or K&N's. both give power gains
I've been using a modified car type exhaust this year.Have just over 1000 miles so far and everything seems to be holding up well.Its part of a kit I'm putting together with rack and close off plate for the xtx. Don't want to sell the idea before I test it myself. If you like the sound of a big block v8 you'll like what I came up with.
