I ran the pipe on an 03 RX-1 for 2 yrs and love it. Blew the motor last ride of March. Bought a wrecked Apex for the motor. Having Hauck build me a 1100 CC stroker adding the K&N Filter Kit and power commander. Ive always run Heel Klicker 2 stage clutch kit. Can't wait should be done by Friday - Look Out - Yee Haw or Yama - Haw.

Any How I have three buddies with Apex's & Attacks and all are now running the GYT-R-DUN

Yamadog, is there a thread about your progress on the conversion, RX1 motor to APEX motor?

No thread, Blew 03 up bought junk Apex took everything out of RX-1 installed everything from Apex. Engine, wiring, handlebars, electronics, radiator & fan, electric fuel pump (the only creative engineering needed) all others switched over easy. Motor in and out 3 times till everything right.

Wrecked Apex was left in salvage yard for a year with no cover or air box. Motor so corroded it would not turn over - locked up -

I already spent more on this project then I would on a new sled.

Yeah for only being into this for 5 yrs I think I got the bug. I now have 3 03's, 1-05 an 07 Attack a 700 sx, an 07 Apex, 600 dlx, 600 arctic cat and an 04 polaris snopro in my shop in various stages of dismantle.
