I loved that last sled. I had a exciter just like that. One of the smoothest riding sleds and fastest around here.

Hey guys, Great post! I personally love the old sleds. They had more character than the new ones.I look foward every spring for the new releases, and it's amazing how high tech the new sleds are now compared to when I was a kid. I remember riding all day on an old 1969 Arctic Cat panther, Where the only option was the windshield. When I got my 1st sled that had handwarmers, I thought I really had something. I know this is a Yamaha site, But here is a picture of my toy. It's a 1982 Kawasaki Interceptor. Only 600 made, And only in 1982. It has a 530cc, 4-sparkplug engine, and factory duel exhaust. I restored it this year and it won 1st place at a show for the 1980's division. I love the body style, Lean & mean. I wonder if some day my 2005's will be a sought after item like my 1982 is.
