Haydays heads up

Just a heads up for those of you that are coming from the East to go to Haydays, if you are going to be traveling West on interstate 90 around the Rockford Il.area Interestate 90 is a mess for about 20 miles from Belvidere to South Beloit Il. Construction goes on during the days,nights and weekends.

Those with GPS coming up from the south, be careful if it tries to have you go on 35W. They do have good detour signs but you might want to think of taking 35E.

i had to go that way, twice last week with a 30' trailer. Talk about some white knuckle driving. It's mirror to mirror.

If you're haulin a trailer, get off on the Genoa Rd./Belvidere exit. Head straight around to the North side of Belvidere on the Northern Bypass. Hit IL 76 all the way to Clinton WI. Miss all the mess and get right back on 90 at Beloit. I work at the Chrysler plant in Bevidere and my wife is from Clinton so I know the route well. Wide smooth road all the way to I-43. Have fun gang

Millwright. Worked for Alberici for changeover for the Neon and got the opportunity to hire in at Belvidere. Been there since '94, and hope to retire from there. Are you in engineering?

Yeah, I was one of the three Welding Engineers out there for the Launch. Good times, I actually enjoyed being at that plant. A lot of good people there.
