Anybody tried using header wrap on front mount turbos to keep the heat down?

On the header or the turbo? I use it on my sidemount setup and it works AWSOME... its really sensetive to rubbing and will wear adn get brittle and flake off. but it does help keep heat in VERY well. I have mine really close to plastic and stuff and none of it melts except where the wrap has worn or fallen off. If you do use it, get the 2" wide stuff, do at least 2 layers thick everywhere and use the high temp spray over it that they sell for it.

I wrapped my down pipe and wired the heck out of it to keep it on tight. Just remember you dont want your shields touching your header or your down and you want good space on the gas tank to the shields.

I have wrapped both the header and the downpipe in aluminum coated header wrap. The turbo have a turbo blanket covering the most of it. No more melting of plastics, the head only comes out when I shut down the sled.

I have not had any problems with corrosion, only thing that rusts are the bolts holding down the header, turbo and downpipe. That's notmal. The header wrapping fabric I use in mine is aluminum coated on the outside so no paint is needed :-)

That would be even better, using both ceramic and wrapping.
