Decided to Ceramic coat mine ,ordered a some material . It's easier to do than I thought.Spray on and bake at 500 degrees.

They also have a solvent based product that will bake on after you install the exhaust and run it .

Well guys, this is what happened to my heat wrap after 1st ride. This might be 2nd to me putting on a new track with 2-1/4" lugs. I also think the track was a little loose. Anyway, here it is:

That's not a bad idea. If I decide to re-wrap the exhaust, I will have to put something like that on there.

Yea, not sure if my wrap will last or not? If you do put the Hyfax on there just rip the one lip off all the way on the hyfax.

Mine looked the same after a couple rides,I rewrapped it and went and got some 2" irigation pipe[thin aluminum] and cut the pipe in half length wise and fomed it to fit then used ss hose clamps to hold it on ,took a bit to fit it on the Y section but it worked out real well

I put 2 layers of heat wrap on securing it with SS wire and then put a couple layers of fiberglass over top of the whole thing. Hopefully this will stand-up to the abuse, if not I like your idea Feetsbig. I'll let ya know how it works out after this weekend.

I believe bender is making a double walled exhaust pipe this year that will alleviate the need to coat the pipes.

Woodsrider: I talked to Mike at Benders about 2 weeks ago, and it sounded like the new quieter exhaust was about ready to be completed. He said they had it on the dyno as we spoke. Still have not heard anything else since then. I really hope they get it done soon, because I'm not comfortable with how loud mine is.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the double-wall header pipe is separate from the muffler and can be prchased individually.
