Riding home in the dark last night was my first chance to see how the lights are aimed. Who sets these things up? My low beam is where my highbeam should be and my highs are up in the trees. I was blinding every on-coming rider and even a groomer. How difficult to lower?

You need to check to see if your pod installation was done correct. If you can get your hand in betwee the pod and the airbox your pod is incorrectly installed.

My Apex GT and a buddy's both were aimed too high. Chances are it was installed properly and needs to be adjusted down. Not a big deal.

Take the pod off, tip it up and you'll see a brass/gold phillips head screw. Turning it clockwise will lower the beams, turning it counterclockwise will set them higher.

Im wondering if there are specifications for the height like on a car. Anyone know of a distance to wall and height the beam should hit. I have never looked for it in the owners manual but it may give all that information.

I like where the lights are set up on my RX1. So, with both the RX1 and Attak being side by side on my trailer, I simply started the RX1, had its lights shine on the inside of my trailer and I matched the Attak to that sled; both dims and brights are now identical. I wish I could measure and have some specs. for easy adjusting.

I just referenced the service manual for the RX1. I'm sure the Apex/Attak series has the same procedure. It does specify a distance with instructions, but it takes a mathmatician to understand it. I'm fairly dumb. I like my way better.

I found the same thing at night. Snow blind with silver dollars falling from sky. Sure enough, dealer installed the pod wrong. Like someone said on an earlier post, if you can slide a finger between rubber boot and air box, its installed wrong.
