WTF!! What a waste of nice high beams. I can only use low beams what do you got to do to make the high beams line up? I can't seem to get the low high enough when I bring the highs lower. Any other bright ideas of this fine design?

Adjust the headlight adjustment screw two full turns clockwise, this brings down the beam, and makes the high beam much more useful, but then low beam is for during the day only, as it only lights up in front of your sled, maybe 20 feet...

That fix was for the headlight pod bracket flexing at speed if I remember correctly...I didn't have that issue. Stopped or 70 mph it points the same, too high. Just turned it down a bit to make the high beam useful, and leave it on low when not needed...just my quick fix...

Taz, you ever ride in snow dust? That seems to be the major issue... you can adjust the high beam to where it shines in the right spot but then the reflection off the snow dust is still killer and when you flip to low the light is only 20 feet in front of you.

Thanks, didn't know that....I always end up leading

I will be sure to test that out this weekend though....
Funny thing is our VW Jetta has the exact same issue with the headlights, low beam are great, put on the high's and they are in the tree tops...have yet to find a vehicle both high's and low's work good from the factory...sled or otherwise....

As much as I don't care for Arctic Cat, my stepsons '06 Sabercat does have one redeeming feature. Each of the two headlights are independently adjustable from the dash. Now why didn't Yamaha think of that? At least with his you can offset the adjustment between the two lights to get a happy medium.

My 2001 FZ 1 has the same problem even when the front wheel is on the ground. They look like the same lights so in 6 years they still have not solved the problem.
Anyboby out there with a newer 06 FZ1 or R1? and are they any better??
