- 2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
The low beams seem to be o.k. but the highs seem high to me. Up in the trees and don't do anything for the trail ahead.
I see in the manual for the up and down but the lows seem fine. Should I try to bring the low's down even further?
I feel real stupid. I searched again and found some of the posts...and there is a stickey on it I think...
I thought some of the posts were for light mods..for different bulbs...
I would delete the post but I can't find a way.
thanks

all the Apex/Attak's are like that, do a search, i believe someone has a fix for it, something to do with a bracket
Just adjust the highs to where you want them and call it good. I finally had enough and set the high beams to shine where they need to and now only use the low beams for oncoming traffic and blowing snow.

The headlight pod base flexes, the faster you drive the higher it shines.Reinforce the pod base or make a thicker one.I tied mine down to the fuel rail 2 years ago with a piece of mechanics wire,PROBLEM SOLVED!!! Quick fix to a big problem. TO see what I am talking about just lift up at front of your headlight!!!

I have done this mod to my Attak and aimed my hibeam so that it opints where I need to see. This mod removed 90% of the flex in my headlight pod http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php? ... dlight+mod

Adjust them down per the manual so the highs shine perfect and you'll be very happy! If you have a lot of weight transfer they will shine up and down a lot more when on and off the throttle. IMO the best setup is Silverstar Ultra bulbs adjusted down and less weight transfer for trail riding.
The pod itself may not be seated properly. I just bought an 08 and the
pod squeaked BAD! if you look under the front of the pod there are two metal tabs on the frame that fit into slots on the pod itsself. These are white, rectangular slots. WHat I had to do was remove the 10mm bolts from each side of the pod (remove side panels) remove the screws that hold the panel over the front part of the gas tank, move the pod forward and down, then slide back into the tabs (torwards the tank). THe rubber gasket of the pod should now be snug against the top of the air box. This is a very common dealer set up mistake.
