headshim ?

i am just about ready for the head shim and i orderd 2 head gaskets and i got 4 so i was just kind of wondering if i would just run 2 3 or 4 headgaskets instead of ordering a headshim...would like to run around 12lbs??? thanks

I would not stack that many gaskets get a thin shim and a new gasket on each face of it, my opinion

I followed powderlites instructions which said to split the new head gasket and sandwich the shim between. Make sure to use spray a gasket on the head shim though.

Guys when ordering your nytro kit from Powder Lites ask for a thin shim and pay extra for a second head gasket . Its a better seal in my opinion, no goop or sealants required torqe to Hurricanes specs or Powder Lites

I just went back and did this on my Apex. Got a thinner shim and installed a full gasket on either side. Total thickness is still the same but it should seal better. splitting them with spray didn't last form me.
