A friend and I were riding this weekend and a stud ripped out and put 3 small holes in thefront exchanger on his nytro,i changed one of these on my old sx and it was a major pain.has anyone done one on the nytro?we got him back up and running using jb weld.what do you guys think do you have to pull the engine to get this thing out?i no we will most likely have to remove the track to grind off some rivets, maybe he should just ride it the rest of the season the way it is with the jb weld, the holes are about the size of a bb for a air gun.

You dont have to remove the engine to swap exhangers. Will it be easier if you do, yes, is it necessary, no. If you have a couple hands helping it can be removed from the underside although the coolant lines are a pain to do without the motor out but doable. Ive done it both ways and not enjoyable.

If you know someone with a tig welder that is good with aluminum I'd go that route. Have had a couple of my sleds fixed before. My new to me nytro has been welded as well.
